Kolmannskuppe

Kolmannskuppe is a former German city in the Namibian Desert and was built after they found a large diamond and started the exploitation of the diamond fields around (diamond rush in the late 19th and early 20th). Now, it is a ghost town in the diamond restricted area.

  5. I have seen another picture of a ghost town this week. How I wish I could get to see one. This one is unique in that there are probably diamond still sleeping there quietly. Thanks for all the nice photos.

  7. Das sieht wahrlich einsam aus. Wie lange hat man dort nach Diamanten gesucht? Namibia muss fantastisch sein.
