Some Birds on the Altmühlsee



Some birds which I got in front of the camera, during a walk, a couple of weeks ago. It was around the lake Altmühlsee in southern Germany, always a good place for birding.


sand martin (Riparia riparia)
A singel sand martin.

little egret (Egretta garzetta)
Far away, but an exotic visitor for the area is the little egret.

common moorhen (Gallinula chloropus)
A young moorhen.

European pied flycatcher (Ficedula hypoleuca)
European pied flycatcher.

great crested grebe (Podiceps cristatus)
Parents at work, some great grested grebes.

Tufted duck (Aythya fuligula)


sedge warbler (Acrocephalus schoenobaenus)
Hidden in the reed,  a young sedge warbler.

  5. Great selceetion of bird shots and the baby Grebe is nearly as big as its parnets now.
