African Montane White-eye

The African Montane White-eye is a small bird endemic to Eastern Africa. I saw this bird in an acacia tree in the West of Addis Ababa in Ehtiopia. They are beautiful, but inconspicuous birds and sometimes diffucult to spot.

  1. Beautiful bird and you did well to photograph it against the light like that. Interesting to see the acacia tree also.

  7. Sounds like a bird. Difficult to spot. Difficult to photograph. Difficult to ...well, you get it.... I think bird photography is a lot of luck ...well, it is for me.... hahahah...

Definitely he has a large white ring around his eye ... perfect id point..... they all need some very obvious ID portion of the body I think.
