Abyssinian Horses

The Abyssinian horse is a horse breed from Ethiopia. The light horses are accustomed to life in altitude mountain areas up to 4000m above the sea level. They look fragile and small, but they have to work hard and can be strong working horses. Especially on the countryside and in small cities, they are used as for transport and riding. I saw these horses close to a road and could not convince it to raise the head for a photo (the rains were long enough, it looks just strange on the photos).

This was the original reason to stop: A pair of Red-billed Oxpeckers resting on the horse back.
