The Born Free Foundation (Ensessakotteh) area near Addis Ababa/Ethiopia

The center of the Born Free Foundation (Ensessakotteh) in Ethiopia is a good place for a short trip from Addis and it takes just 30 min to escape the concrete world of Ethiopia’s capitol.
The foundation works in conservation and welfare of wildlife in Ethiopia, the center is an education and rescue station with wild animals found orphaned in wild or confiscated from illegal things. On the area are several large compounds with wild cats like cheetahs or lions.

The area has a dense, natural vegetation.

Ethiopian Lion
Extinct or almost extinct in the wild, the Ethiopian Lion, perhaps an own subspecies.

grivet (Chlorocebus aethiops) in Ethiopia
Living wild in the area, Grivet Monkeys.
By the way,it’s a good place for birding with dense vegetation, interesting plants and many wonderful places.
