Shelducks and some waders

Some birds, seen during a walk on the lake in Kauerlach close to Nuremberg. It is good birding site for waders. The Common Shelducks are rare in the area.

  1. You found quite a selection of waders and they all are giving great reflections in the water.

  2. It seems strange that you can have a flock of Green Sandpipers and that Shelduck is rare.

  12. I like the ducks, and the shot of the Greenshank with the reflections and the luminous patches on the water and specks like stars floating around have a mystical quality.
