I saw this group of Chamois during a mountain tour in the Death Mountain range (Totes Gebirge) in the Austrian Alps. It was a hot summer day and first they were lying on a ice field in the sun, a good idea with cooling from the ground and the sun from above. Later, after some clouds covered the sun, a goat with three lambs (very rare, normally they have one or two) went to grazing on an alpine meadow.

Birding was poor, all the alpine species I expected to see, were on vacation in other mountains (:-(). There were some Alpine Chough flying over us, but I had to survive the way at this moment (very steep). At the end there was a pair of Alpine Accentors on a snow field. The only birds to photograph in three days.
