Capsaicin under the microscope

Capsaicin is the component that makes chilli peppers burning. It was discovered 1816 by Christian Friedrich Bucholz and is made of small white crystals. The photos show Capsaicin crystals extracted from dried Habanero chilli peppers which have a content of 0,15 % of Capsaicin.
