Western reef heron

I just wanted to make a photo of this Western Reef Heron in the Abuko rice fields in Gambia ...

there was no reason for the fight, it was not a nesting site near, not a colony and no other herons...

both left the place unharmed.

  16. I always think of herons as cranky birds..I see great blue herons and green herons here on the pond and they even argue with one another.....Michelle
