The Reptile Farm in Kartong/The Gambia

The reptile farm by Kartong in Gambia is a reptile sanctuary and rehabilitation center. It has a visitor area with the possibility to see many reptiles living in Gambia. In the wild, we saw surprisingly few reptiles for a tropical country. The farm is a conservation area where you can see various reptiles such as snakes, turtles, crocodiles, chameleons, various lizards. They also breed reptiles for reintroduction into nature and educate local people about the advantages of having reptiles in the environment for example in keeping the rat and mice population under control.

  2. Amazing photos of these beautiful reptiles.

  3. A great series of reptiles. I always like seeing snakes as they certainly keep pests under control, although I don't want them in my house.
